Alison Bert draws on her background in journalism and the performing arts to capture the spirit of her subjects using various photographic techniques. She has displayed her work since 2013, including juried exhibitions at the Salmagundi Club, the Upstream Gallery and the Garrison Art Center. She does her own printing using archival inks on exhibition fiber paper.

Williams’ personal artwork is inspired by his Catholic faith, but celebrates inclusive values, social justice, and activism. Williams teaches elementary Art and has a studio in Tarrytown.

Constanza Mallol paints what is alive, that breathes, changes, gives off scent, promises of touch, taste. She wants to seize the thrill of that life and her life colliding. Not photographic render, exalted emotion of recognizing life. Painting nature, breathing that same air, light, changing, slowly dying as she is dying she feels complete and her life is full of meaning.

Beverly Shipko paints joyful memories of desserts and foods. Often partially eaten, these simple pleasures elicit nostalgia (especially since Riviera closed!). Experiments with broccoli in candy vending machines stimulated a dialog, inspiring an ongoing series. This is Year 5 creating Ikebana arrangements, which will be displayed. Come take a bite out of life (and an Oreo!) with food, flowers, and fun!

Alison Cimmet’s mixed-media painted collage work celebrates vibrant colors and textures. She uses beautiful curated papers, vintage ephemera (sheet music, literature, etc.), and her own gelli-plate acrylic prints. Final touches are done with paint, markers, and gold leaf. Alison is a proud member of the Collective Art Studio collaborative work space in Dobbs Ferry, New York.

That mark inspires others, a shape becomes a figure, and eventually an interplay of figures populates the field. The results are far reaching, allowing the viewer’s eyes to roam over the painting, while suggestions of a narrative unfold.
