Her first feature “Out of State-A Gothic Romance” has been in 40+ international film festivals winning awards in every category. Bugbee is Writer, Director, Producer and staged it in her Victorian home in Hastings. Monica Carrier (b. Philadelphia, PA) is an artist in New York who works primarily with ink on paper. Her drawings celebrate the absurd alongside the sincere. She works with topics of personal relationships, spaces between & pareidolia. Often with humor, she utilizes the spiritual, hand in hand with the irreverent.

It is no surprise that these artists, who expertly work with concepts of connectivity in their craftsmanship, also facilitate human networks outside of their studios. The artists in this show have brought people together in cooperative ways such as curating, founding an artist-run-space, community fundraising and creating an interview based podcast, among other important initiatives around visual arts and society.

John Manning has been painting for many years. He spent over 20 years as a creative director in an ad agency. Now he gets to express himelf through painting. He leans towards abstract expressionism. Motherwell, Kline and Pollock are his influences.

Williams embraces exploration, imagination and a dedication to the creative process. Williams’ personal artwork is inspired by his Catholic faith, but celebrates inclusive values, social justice, and activism. Williams teaches elementary Art and has a studio in Tarrytown.

Improvisation is key to creating the paintings Tim Duch makes. He starts with a mark that has no intention, a random starting point. That mark inspires others, a shape becomes a figure, and eventually an interplay of figures populates the field. The results are far reaching, allowing the viewer’s eyes to roam over the painting, while suggestions of a narrative unfold.

Edward Bear Miller paints portraits, landscapes, and figures. In 2016, he began exploring nationality and history in his work. He’s from DC (with roots in the Adirondacks and Louisiana), went to Reed College, and taught history for twelve years before getting his MFA from SUNY New Paltz and moving to Tarrytown where he lives with his wife, dog, and daughters.
